Help us stage Ukrainian Cassandra

We are honoured to be working with the Ukrainian Institute, London, to try to bring to the UK stage the English-language premiere of Lesia Ukrainka's 'Cassandra'. Lesia Ukrainka was a pioneering Ukrainian feminist poet. First published in 1908, her 'Cassandra' retells the story of the Trojan War from Cassandra's perspective. We hope to stage the play in a new translation by contemporary Ukrainian poet Nina Murray, which won the Ukrainian Institute London's 2021 literature in translation prize.

We are determined to make this happen and we working with the Ukrainian Institute to raise the funds. Please consider making a donation here, or helping us by sharing this link widely.  There are plenty of perks for those donating (including an opportunity to attend rehearsals) and we can claim gift aid on all donations from UK tax-payers.
